Check 'Em Out: Tablescapes Party Pics

Our church hosted its annual Christmas tablescapes event last night, and we had a fabulous time! This is the event that prompted me to plan my tablescape– the one I shared on the blog last week. I was so excited to host a table at the event! My best friend Kelsey helped me plan and execute the table, and we were pretty pumped with how it turned out.

I apologize for the photo quality– it was so dark in there, so I was basically only working with candlelight. I don't have a fancy DSLR camera (but want one so badly!) so this is the best I could do.

What did we add to the table since our trial run here on the patio? Well first of all, we added a cream tablecloth with cream-colored burlap for added texture. I borrowed napkins from a friend, so that was one less thing I had to buy! We used raffia as napkin rings.

I only had five place settings (wedding gifts), so I ran to Ross and bought an affordable set that coordinated with my existing flatware. I also bought a set of 16 elegant drinking glasses that looked like crystal for only $11!

I had invited six of my friends to join me at my table, and I wanted to give them each a small Christmas gift. I had grand ambitions of cooking up one of the delicious looking Christmas treats I've got pinned, but I ran out of time. I ended up giving them each a golden feather ornament from Hobby Lobby, and I think they all loved it.

I won't bore you with the thought process I used to come up with the pear and metallic theme for the table, but you can read all about it in this post

Let's check out some pictures of our table and some of the others that caught my eye at the event!

It's always so fun to see how the other women interpret the holiday through their tablescape. Each table had a distinct look and theme, and a big part of the fun was looking around and getting ideas.

This silver table in the two photos above belongs to some friends of mine, and they told me they got most of their great stuff at Z Gallerie, including the cool wine glasses with mirror finish and the graphic grey runner. I loved it! Very chic.

Here are the wonderful friends who came to the party, starting with my decorator-in-crime, Kelsey.

Schedules get so busy and it becomes harder and harder to make time for a girls night, so we were all happy to be there.

We have a busy weekend of basketball ahead. My brother's team is in town for a tournament, so we'll be spending most of our time over there. I hope you have fun plans!

* Happy Weekend *
