Tutorial: Easy Wreath

Who got a funky new color of spray paint? ME!

Who needed to try this new color on something as soon as she got it? ME!

Now I have a simple new wreath for the front door. It's fall-ish, but it could also work year-round.

We have four grapevine wreaths laying in our garage, left over from our wedding. I took one outside and sprayed it with my new spray paint. This color is Mustard by Montana Gold. I would say it has more green in it than yellow, but it's definitely somewhere in the middle.

I wanted to add some flowers to the wreath, so I followed this easy tutorial from Jones Design Co. My flowers are made out of scrapbook paper.

The last step is to use your hot glue gun to attach the flowers to the wreath.

There you have it. Piece. Of. Cake.

What do you think? This would work with so many combinations of colors. The possibilities are endless...

  1. Just love this! I've been thinking of making paper flowers for my wedding, but might have to make a wreath too.

  2. @Angela

They're super easy! I had tissue dahlias at my wedding as napkin holders- loved them! I ended up hanging them on my Christmas tree, too. I say go for it!

  3. I'm thinking of doing the same thing soon. Thanks for the tutorial, and thanks for the sweet comment about my fall decor :)
