On Monday, I will show you how this chandelier from Urban Outfitters...

... inspired me to make my own chandelier from lovely junk I bought at Hobby Lobby! Can't wait to share the surprisingly easy process with you.

Now interrupting our normal programming to talk about general awesomeness I spotted around the web this week.  People are hugely creative, and I'm constantly inspired by what others are doing. Check out these links!

• I shall link to more links. Jones Design Company lists her favorite blogs, and it's a wealth of information! Let's just say I have new blogs bookmarked after reading her list.

• I'm a fan of this light and bright dining room makeover from Design Sponge. It reminds me of my closet makeover, complete with white walls, black mirror and DIY chandelier!

• Do you read Emily Henderson's blog?  She won the last season of HGTV Design Star, and her blog is hilarious. She's funnier in blog form than she appears on her show (not that she isn't charming on her show). My favorite part of her blog is when she reviews each Design Star episode from this season. Who can give better insight and opinions than someone who actually went through the process? Read her episode 6 recap right HERE.

• This blog is not related to home decor in any way, but I love checking it out anyway. Lauren Conrad of Laguna Beach and The Hills fame started this website, The Beauty Department, with her makeup artist and hairstylist. It covers all things beauty: hair, makeup, nails, etc. They have step by step tutorials on tons of different hairstyles– I only wish I had the patience to try them. Good info and adorable web design!

That's just some awesomeness I want you to check out when you get a chance. Warning: You may or may not be glued to your computer for a long time because these sites will suck you in with their cute style and genius ideas.

What's on tap for you this weekend? Scott's team is scrimmaging tonight, so I'm planning to head out there and cheer them on. Wish me luck as I attempt to peel my melted skin off the bleachers, ok?

To all of my friends and family who love Scott and also love football, his team will be playing in a nationally televised game on ESPN on Oct. 1. Isn't that exciting?! Mark your calendars! It's their rivalry game against Flower Mound Marcus, and it will show you what we mean when we talk about high school football, Texas-style!
